About us
The Swiss Coordination Centre for Research in Education SCCRE is an institution of the Swiss federal government and the Swiss Cantonal Ministers of Education (EDK). This joint involvement stems from the fact that in Switzerland the education system is the common responsibility of the Confederation and the Cantons.
The SCCRE was established in 1974 and is located in a villa called «Franckegut» built in 1903 in the city of Aarau, Switzerland. It currently has a staff of thirteen.
